Hood System Inspections

Restaurant Fire Suppression Systems or kitchen hood systems must be inspected every six months to comply with the New York commercial fire code. These inspections assure full operability and compliance with the manufacturer’s installation criteria; insurance companies and local authorities have jurisdiction.

Your kitchen fire suppression system inspection will include an examination of nozzles, hoses, supply systems, pressure gauges, and manual pull alarms to ensure proper functionality. The technician will also ensure that the gas and electrical shutoffs will work as intended in the event of a fire.

We provide complete restaurant fire suppression system services, including 6-month inspections, service, repairs, modifications, and updates as required by the State and insurance provider to keep you in compliance and assure your system is in proper working order. We also provide fire extinguisher services on the same visit to keep all your equipment on the same service schedule.

Don’t gamble with the safety of your restaurant, your employees, and your guests! Fill out our contact form here or call (845)807-6866 to schedule your kitchen fire suppression inspection today.

PREPARING FOR A FIRE SUPPRESSION INSPECTION?

To prepare for your fire suppression system inspection, you'll need to become familiar with all New York State fire codes, ordinances, and standards. These codes tell you what requirements your business must meet, which types of equipment you must install (which will vary based on your building's size and function) and how your equipment must be installed. You'll also need to have a certain number of clearly marked and accessible fire exits, up-to-date fire extinguishers, and a functional employee evacuation plan in the event of a fire. During our inspection, we will inspect your fire suppression system to make sure it's in good working order; we'll also review your fire safety procedures to make sure they comply with guidelines.
